Curriculum
The rich curriculum covers a broad spectrum of academic, physical, creative and artistic experiences to challenge the mind and develop personal interests, as well as effective learning strategies through RGS Prep’s learning habits.
Games & The Arts
The school has a strong reputation, excellent facilities and recognises achievement at all levels. Boys regularly gain sporting honours and scholarships for senior schools; music, art and drama all flourish.
Pastoral Care
The happiness and welfare of pupils is at the heart of every decision that the school makes and everything that staff do at RGS Prep. The family community of pupils, staff, parents and governors works together to create an ethos of positivity where school values of inclusivity, scholarship, integrity, respect, courage and collaboration promote higher levels of wellbeing, which ensures boys are performing academically at their best.
Recent Scholarships
Boys are regularly awarded senior school scholarships for academic, music, sport and drama.
Head Teacher’s Philosophy
Each boy knows that he is understood, cared for and valued and that his unique academic and pastoral needs will be met throughout his time with us. We guide each boy on his journey and give him the skills and understanding of how to learn not just what to learn.
Outstanding Characteristics
Teaching boys academic rigour and encouraging them to have diverse interests, combined with traditional manners, allows them to grow into confident, caring and successful young men. RGS Prep believes that its confident and able pupils are equipped not only to make the most of their senior school years, but also to become responsible and caring adults.
