Kate Middleton Wears Beloved British Brands On Trip To Isle Of Mull

On 29 April – aka, the 14th wedding anniversary of the Prince and Princess of Wales – the royal couple made a visit to the Isle of Mull. The two-day trip, which takes place 20 years after their first visit to the Scottish island, is to highlight the resilience of local communities, as well as the wild natural beauty of the region.

And for the first day of their visit, Kate stuck to tried-and-tested British brands. She wore a chocolate-brown herringbone blazer from Holland Cooper and a blue linen button-up from Boden (which teamed up nicely with her sapphire engagement ring), alongside black skinny jeans and brown suede hiking boots. Later in the day, she teamed up the look with a pair of sunglasses from FINLAY.

The royal couple will be spending their time on the Isle of Mull visiting various local attractions and green spaces – celebrating their anniversary in an isolated self-catering cottage on the island during their stay.

Daniel Fletcher Launches First Collection As MITHRIDATE Creative Director

MITHRIDATE’s brand new capsule, ‘Seven, Nine, Three’, launches in stores this month – much to the excitement of eager fans. For British designer Daniel Fletcher, who joined MITHRIDATE at the beginning of the year, this is his first collection with the brand. The capsule, which was first unveiled at London Fashion Week AW25, consists of 30 pieces and is backdropped by a campaign starring Alexa Chung. Informed by conversations with Chung, Fletcher went on to create the capsule with a focus on building a wardrobe that blended British heritage and Chinese craftsmanship.

‘Alexa was the first person to try these clothes on, I’d only been working for the brand for two months and these were the first samples, so it was interesting for me to see how Alexa put them together and what she was drawn to,’ said Fletcher. ‘We talked about the staples you find in a British wardrobe, and how those items like a navy crew neck jumper, a striped cotton oxford shirt, a double breasted blazer; these are things so many of us have some form of variation on and are what build the foundation of most of our outfits every day.

‘This was the starting point for me, to establish the foundation of what is in the Mithridate wardrobe then start building on it. This capsule is a reflection of that vision and of what I see for the future of the brand.’

The name, meanwhile, comes from significant numbers that Fletcher chose to reflect his hopes for MITHRIDATE’s future: number seven to represent change and new beginnings, number nine to suggest accomplishments and completion, and number 3 to symbolise upward growth and survival.
