The Scandi set battled the snow this week to show us their Fashion Week fits
Things may be a little frosty down in the Danish capital – but when it comes to the city’s fashion game, things are only heating up. And while the runway remains awash with some of the world’s biggest and burgeoning talents, on the pavements you’ll find fashion followers putting their best foot (and coat) forward. Scroll on for some of our favourite street style moments from Copenhagen Fashion Week AW26 so far.
Street Style At Copenhagen Fashion Week
Soft Touch
If there’s one thing you can count on from the Copenhagen girls, it’s their flawless outerwear game. Awash with coats, jackets, capes, parkas and puffers – all needed thanks to the storm bruising through the city this week – the style set pulled out all the stops to ensure their ensembles looked good at every clothing layer. But the real story this season? Faux fur. It seems every pavement was home to someone bundled up in teddy-like layers, opting for coats draped in some of the softest faux fur we’ve ever seen. Less mob wife and more Scandi life, styles ranged from 90s-esque long coats to cropped jackets and hooded duffles.

Printmaxxing
And that’s not all they gave us when it came to outerwear. Not ones to let a spot of snow interrupt their maximalist moment, Fashion Week-goers used their coats as the ultimate tool to show off a collection of prints. Think classics, like monochrome polka dots and countryside tweeds, as well as modern wins including timeless animal prints (another good season for leopard and zebra).

Cropped Co-ord
On the other end of the scale, many braved the cold in co-ords that flashed some skin. The winning combo in question was a cropped jacket and a mini skirt – both made from wool, but the traditional chic ends there. Copenhageners know just how to make a trend their own, and they did so with bold colour choices, Y2K finishes (a faux fur trim here and there) and 3D floral detailing. And if they throw their skirt on over a pair of jeans, who are we to judge?

Supersized Sleeves
As for the details, they too delivered. With cold weather came a newfound appreciation for long sleeves – as well as plenty of opportunities for experimentation. Supersized sleeves had their moment on the streets of Copenhagen, with styles ranging from classic balloon, puffed and bell silhouettes to and more avant-garde parachute outlines. And of course: the bigger, the better. These weren’t plain sleeves, either. Eagle-eyed people-watchers will have spotted them decorated in metallic fabrics and checks, pulled together with elaborate pleats or even cropped in a play on size and scale.

Pillbox Moment
Leave it to the Copenhageners to revive another winter accessory just when we’d forgotten about them. If last year was a big moment for triangle scarves and bonnets, this year seems to be the one for the pillbox hat. While we’re most likely to associate this style with racecourse style (or, if you’re stateside, Jackie Kennedy), it seems this piece of headwear is gearing up for a stylish 2026. Catch the style set wearing them in classic black, white or a flash of leopard print.

Colour Pop
And what does one do when all of their winter clothes are black? Offset it with a vibrant burst of colour. Playful and unexpected, the tastemakers of Copenhagen offered up a masterclass in introducing colour to an otherwise all-black outfit. A knitted scarf and patterned sleeves showcased a small but mighty approach, while coats, jeans and skirts in statement primary colours gave a bolder take on the trend.
