The Country & Town House Responsible Buyers’ Guide
Liberty x Jellycat
Liberty Shepherdley Bunny, ÂŁ45
Two new characters make their debut at one of London’s biggest department stores this month: Liberty Mirabelle Bunny and Liberty Shepherdley Bunny. Of course, it’s another Jellycat collaboration – and this time, it features some of the toymaker’s signature rabbit plushies dressed up in charming bows fashion from classic Liberty prints. There’s the Little Mirabelle, decorated with trailing florals and strawberries, and Shepherdly Song, a playful blend of wildflowers and paisley. Sitting on the shelves of Liberty, they’re almost too cute to resist…
Available in store from 8 July, and online from 17 July
Vinterior x Liberty
Vico Magistretti C1960s Carimate Chair In Liberty’s Mount Stitch In Acacia, ÂŁ1,250
In the middle of redesigning your home? You’ll want to pay attention to Liberty’s brand new collaboration with pre-loved marketplace Vinterior. Tapping the brains of Liberty’s Head of Design (Home & Interiors), Genevieve Bennett, Vinterior carefully sourced a selection of vintage furniture pieces that were then reimagined using some of the department store’s most iconic fabrics. Spanning sofas, chairs, lamps and footstools, this is a collection that shows how heritage and vintage can come together to create something seriously chic for your home.
ANJNA
Sana Clarity Bangle, $192
London-based jeweller Anjna Kaur draws on her Indian roots and Thai heritage to craft exceptionally beautiful pieces that stand the test of time. Celebrating the craftsmanship of Thai jewellery-making and infusing each design with a story – look out for the Meaning Card hidden in every pouch – pieces span bangles, ring stacks, earrings and even detachable straps you can hook onto your dress or corset.
Sister Jane x Petersham Nurseries
Polka Dot Drill Cross Back Apron, ÂŁ49
Summer calls for days out in the garden – spent both lounging, and curating your green space for the season. And to do the latter in style, you’ll want to be wearing the newly launched Sister Jane x Petersham Nurseries capsule. Comprised of flower bags, a kneeling cushion, aprons and a bucket hat, the collection reimagines working in the garden through a whimsical lens (think romantic silhouettes and delicate florals).
RIXO
Hayden Dress, Shell, ÂŁ365
RIXO’s second collaboration with journalist and broadcaster Billie Bhatia has just gone live, building on last year’s holiday capsule. The collection is built for day-to-night dressing in signature prints and crafted fabrics, with jewellery joining the line-up for the first time. The Hayden dress, in a flowing shell tone, is made for long summer evenings. Pieces run from ÂŁ95 to ÂŁ365 in sizes UK 6 to 26.
Diptyque
Eau des Sens Fragrance, ÂŁ145
Diptyque has just opened The Water Counter, a colourful 1970s-inspired pop-up at its Maison store on New Bond Street, running until 1 September. It’s built around this year’s summer collection, A Summer in the Water Garden, whose new centrepieces include the Pinède candle and a limited edition Eau des Sens eau de toilette. In-store, visitors can try exclusive infused water recipes inspired by the collection alongside new launches and limited-edition pieces. The garden’s graphic world was designed by mosaic artist Mathilde Jonquière.
