Amanda Holden

When she’s not renovating crumbling villas in Spain, Italy and Greece with celeb pal Alan Carr, the Britain’s Got Talent judge can be found in her London apartment, Cotswold manor or Surrey home. Residing in Cobham, she lives in the £7m mansion with her husband Chris Hughes and their daughters Lexi and Hollie. Having purchased the property in 2023, Holden has since expressed a desire to transform her home into a Beverly Hills Hotel. ‘My entire life I have wanted the dream home, and you do the stepping up and now I’ve finally got it,’ she said. ‘I definitely feel settled… I’m obsessed with interior design and I said to my husband, “Don’t worry, this is the house for life and it will take me a couple of years to do it up.”’

Tom Hardy

In 2018, Tom Hardy and his wife Charlotte Riley moved out of their £3.5m Richmond home to escape a distressing situation with an obsessive stalker. Retreating to the countryside, the Venom and Peaky Blinders star now leads a quiet life near Cranleigh in Surrey. 

Peter Andre

After selling his West Sussex home in 2018, the ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer relocated to a luxury Surrey mansion, near Reigate and Kingswood, with his wife and children. Worth a reported £1.7m, the home is said to boast a cinema room and a gym. 

Shane Richie

When he’s not strutting around the fictional borough of Walford, EastEnders star Shane Richie can be found in his Surrey home – having long resided in the Reigate and Tadworth areas. 

Dame Judi Dench

Though born and raised in York, the acclaimed actor now calls Surrey home. For several decades, Judi Dench has resided in a 17th century farmhouse in the small village of Outwood. Worth a reported £8m, in lockdown the mansion faced an invasion of mice. The sprawling six-acre estate is said to feature a private woodland, where the national treasure plants a tree for every close friend or family member who passes away. She has previously been spotted dining in Casa Zilli – her favourite Italian restaurant in Redhill – with documentarian Louis Theroux. A proud supporter of the local community, she is also the patron of the Surrey Wildlife Trust and the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford.

Tom Felton

We may know him best as Draco Malfoy, but Tom Felton has since built a life for himself beyond Hogwarts’ turrets. Having spent some time living in Los Angeles, in 2022 the child star moved back to the UK and set up base in Surrey. Near the border of Sussex, and close to Epsom where he grew up, Felton can often be spotted walking his labradors Willow and Forest. 

Eric Clapton

Guitarist Eric Clapton is another Surrey local, having lived in an Italian-style country home, by the name of Hurtwood Edge Estate, for more than 50 years. Built in 1920, the estate is located in the village of Ewhurst, nestled in the Surrey Hills. 

John Terry

Since leaving the field, ex-football star John Terry has continued to build his wealth by buying and converting houses alongside his wife Toni in the Surrey area of Oxshott. In 2019, the former Chelsea captain bought a seven-bedroom property for £4.5m, knocking it down to build two new mega-mansions in its place.

Having put his Cotswold home on the market in early 2026, Joe Wicks now splits his time between his Santa Monica beach house in LA and his Surrey estate. The celebrity trainer purchased his Surrey home for a reported £4.4m in 2020, living there with his wife, Rosie Jones, and their children. Located in Virginia Water, the five-bedroom mansion includes a high-spec home gym on the top floor, a large garden with a hot tub, sauna, and ice-cold bath, plus an open-plan kitchen. 

Chris Wolstenholme

Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme joined the Surrey celeb set when he snapped up a £6m home in Oxshott in 2010. The star previously lived in Foxrock in Dublin. 

Roger Taylor

Another musician to call Surrey home, Queen drummer Roger Taylor first moved to Surrey in 1979 when he purchased the Milhanger estate in the village of Thursley near Godalming. Having sold the property in 2003, today he primarily lives at Puttenham Priory – a historic 13th-century Grade II* listed home near Guildford. 

Brian May

Fellow Queen band member Brian May lives nearby to Taylor. The legendary rockstar moved out of his £7m Kensington home in 2021 when a flash flood soaked his basement in sewage. And so, relocated to a £25m estate in Windlesham alongside his wife Anita Dobson.

Andy Murray

Tennis star Andy Murray first made the move to Surrey in 2013 when he bought up a £4.95m mansion in Oxshott. In 2022, he and his family then relocated to a new-build in Leatherhead.

Ruth Langsford

Though Eamon Holmes and Ruth Langsford have tragically split, at least Ruth was lucky enough to keep the £3.5m, six-bedroom mansion in Weybridge. Discussing the area with Essential Surrey, the TV host said: ‘The Surrey Hills and all around here is so beautiful, full of lovely places to walk the dog. I feel there’s a community spirit here. I kind of know the neighbours and say hello to people when I’m out and about.’

Phil Tufnell 

Cricketeer and TV personality Phil Tufnell lives in the village of Kingswood, near Tadworth, with his wife Dawn. Having purchased the property for £620,000 in 2004, he’s more recently found himself at war with the local council as planners ruled that a third extension to his Surrey home was too close to the boundary with his neighbours. Discussing his move, he said: ‘My wife is from the area and I just followed her. It’s rural without being too remote and I love it here. We’re close to major places such as Sutton and Kingston and it is good for Heathrow and Gatwick […] We’re always entertaining friends. The garden is about 150ft long and backs on to farmland. It’s ideal to eat out in when the weather is good.’
