The time bending mystery is here
What’s a British crime drama without Stephen Graham? Netflix is now dabbling in the genre, releasing a teaser trailer for its upcoming series, Bodies. Here’s everything to know before you watch.
Here is the trailer for brand new crime-mystery series, Bodies.
‘Four detectives, living in four different eras, find the body of the same murder victim in London’s Whitechapel,’ Netflix summarises. ‘They soon come to realise their investigations have made them central to a mysterious conspiracy spanning over 150 years.’
Across eight episodes, this time-bending drama – based on Si Spencer’s graphic novel – will jump between eras in the same part of London to uncover the mysterious dead body that has been discovered in four different points in time, from Victorian London to the 1940s to the present day to the future.
The voice describing this in the teaser trailer is none other than Stephen Graham, a British TV stalwart who is perhaps best known recently for Boiling Point and Line of Duty. Graham will play a mysterious character called Elias Mannix who plays ‘an enigmatic political leader’ who ‘becomes increasingly central’ to the story – though he isn’t one of the four detectives. ‘Did he have a part to play in the murder?’ says Netflix. ‘Or is something far more sinister at play? To solve the mystery, our four detectives must somehow collaborate and uncover a conspiracy spanning over 150 years.’
