Lighthouse Social is set to open in spring 2025

London is a members’ club haven: whether it’s creative connections, good food and wine or female empowerment, whatever you’re looking for, there’s a club for it. And luckily, in the 21st century, they’re not as stuffy as days of yore. Instead, they’re all about high-quality restaurants, snazzy interiors and fostering a home-from-home for their members. Cue Lighthouse Social, the latest contemporary members’ club on the scene, slated to open in spring 2025. Here’s what to expect – plus how to snap up your membership.

Lighthouse Social: London’s Newest Private Members’ Club

Located on the banks of the Thames, Lighthouse Social will appeal to the every need of the modern Londoner with eclectic yet chic interiors, panoramic riverside views

A restaurant and multiple bars will keep members fed and watered, while a screening room, library, shared workspace and Club Crèche for little ones will keep everyone occupied and entertained whatever the purpose.

‘Lighthouse Social will be a neighbourhood club that attracts members from all cultures, backgrounds, industries and interests,’ says general manager Suzanne Shaheen. ‘We want people with much to say and nothing to prove. Answering the neighbourhood’s need for a warm, vibrant space to create and cultivate in, Lighthouse Social will provide members with a compelling reason to stay ‘west’ without having to leave the area that they love.

‘From our thought-provoking programming to our delicious food and drink, we will be collaborating with the very best to build a highly engaged community that will grow and develop with us,’ Suzanne adds.

The Exterior

Situated atop Fulham Pier beside the historic Bishops Park and Craven Cottage, the Lighthouse Social building is part of Fulham FC’s impressive redevelopment of its Riverside Stand, which is being transformed into a world-class riverfront destination providing a spa and fitness suite complete with a rooftop pool, restaurants and bars, a boutique 13-room hotel, a basement entertainment zone featuring a cinema and sports bar and, of course, Lighthouse Social. This will be the first Premier League football club with a private members’ club on site – but don’t worry, you’ll still need a membership to enter.

All of this is being designed by architecture and design practice Stuart Forbes Associates, which has helmed design of everything from the River Cafe and Spring restaurants in London to lodges for Volcanoes Safaris in Uganda and Rwanda.

The Interiors

Split over three floors – amounting to 10,000 sq ft of indoor space and 2,000 sq ft of outdoor space – the interiors have been helmed by Parisian practice Dion et Arles. Think sumptuous fabrics, comfortable seating and voguish wall hangings. Before Lighthouse Social, Dion et Arles has crafted beautiful spaces in restaurants, bars and hotels across the world. In London, this includes Dovetale, Louis, Bar des Pres, Il Gattopardo and The Standard Hotel in King’s Cross.
