The second Saturday of every June sees gin-lovers far and wide celebrate their favourite spirit for the day. This year, more than 75 bars will be serving thirsty Londoners all of the gin they could dream of in a brand new four-day event. Let the celebrations be-gin!

Sevilla Spritz, Rosy Negroni, Honeydew Flora and Smash Garden Spritz from the Sipping Room

World Gin Day strikes again on June 9th, and this brand new event will see the capital celebrate in the most gin-tastic way. Some of London’s best bars will open their doors to serve bespoke gin-based beverages in celebration. The four-day affair will take over from the 7-10 June, and costs just £10 per person. Ticket holders can purchase drinks from any of the participating venues for just £6, whether it be a bittersweet Negroni, a breakfast Martini or a glorious Gimlet.

The award-winning team behind the festival have lined up a fantastic line-up of one-off events for the long weekend. A pre-party at Printworks will kick off the celebrations on the 6 June, as guests drink their night away with a BULLDOG Gin & Tonic in hand. Jump on board a pink gin lovers’ bus tour around London and enjoy afternoon tea with a side of pink gin cocktails with Beefeater gin (8 June). Visit the Tanqueray terrace takeover at The Sipping Room where you can expect fountains which spill out rose Negroni, or take a trip to the ‘World’s Best Cocktail Bar 2017’  as Bombay Sapphire transforms a suite inside the Mondrian Hotel into the ultimate tasting room (6-10 June).

The Most Ridiculously Flavoured Gins

Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings interior

Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings

From atop the 31st floor of London’s most iconic building at Aqua Shard, to the hidden London Cocktail Club underneath Paradise Row’s iconic railway arches; gin-lovers will be stuck for choice on where to grab a taste of their favourite spirit during the event. A trip to Ask For Janice is a must, as is a try of their Pink Pepper Gin in their spin on a Cosmo. The foliage-filled Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings is the perfect backdrop for a Sevilla Spritz, and Madison may just be our favourite with its sweeping city views. Walk around the corner to the former Midland Bank building for a Meadow Tonic at The Ned, or finish your evening with a Coffee Negroni from the coffee shop which turns into a bar come evening, Boki.

See you at the bar!
