The Country & Town House Responsible Buyers’ Guide
HADES
Alphabet Bag, ÂŁ100
Looking to put a personal stamp on your summer wardrobe? British knitwear label HADES has just released a brand new line of alphabet bags, crafted in England and Scotland using 100 percent lambswool. And with their timeless design and playful colourways, you know you’re getting a staple item that will see you through the seasons (and years to come).
Jo Malone London
Raspberry Ripple Cologne, ÂŁ128
Capturing the magic of a day at the beach – sandcastle building, seashell collecting and wading through the water – Jo Malone London’s latest scent delivers a scoop of lush raspberries, redcurrants and white musk to recreate the ultimate nostalgic ice cream flavour: raspberry ripple. And if you’re thinking that sounds too sickly-sweet for you, we’d encourage you to pop along to the perfumer’s new London pop-up and give the scent a go for yourself. It’s light and elegant, and layers beautifully with its partner scent, Wood Sage & Sea Salt for a slightly crisper, salty dry-down fragrance.
ProdriveÂ
Racing Simulator, ÂŁPOA
Prodrive has unveiled its updated luxury Racing Simulator at Bang & Olufsen’s Mayfair store ahead of the 2025 F1 British Grand Prix. The simulator, designed by Ian Callum and conceived by Prodrive Chairman David Richards, features collaborations with renowned British artisans: Connolly for bespoke leather, Vaughtons for custom plaques, and Pendennis for a luxe lacquered exterior. Enhanced audio by Bang & Olufsen and extensive personalisation options blend heritage craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. Charles Leclerc set a Silverstone lap of 2 minutes and 4 seconds at the Mayfair launch: so the bar is set. The Simulator will be at Bang & Olufsen in the lead up to the F1 British Grand Prix on Sunday and thereafter will be found in the technology department of Harrods and at Autovivendi in St John’s Wood. Alternatively get in contact directly with a Prodrive concierge to start your commission.
Anabela Chan
Fruit Gems, from ÂŁ1,090
London-based jewellery designer Anabela Chan’s latest jewellery collection isn’t all looks – it also presents an industry first. The pretty and playful Fruit Gems collection spotlights gemstones that have been synthesised from natural fruit and vegetable waste, resulting in wonderfully colourful jewellery pieces that span earrings and cocktail rings. This is about creating ‘wonder from waste’ using modern technology – and a dash of spinach, beetroot, blueberry, green plankton and dragon fruit…
Oceanus x Terry de Havilland
Candy Pink Cowboy Boot, ÂŁ495
The hottest collab on our radar this season comes from two major British brands: luxury resortwear label Oceanus and iconic shoemaker Terry de Havilland. The pair are putting their best foot forward with an exclusive line of cowboy boots – marking Oceanus’ first foray into footwear – combining feminine opulence and rock ‘n’ roll. Available in powder pink, bold blue and midnight black (and covered in Oceanus’ signature seashells), these boots were made for walking – through festivals, parties or just down the high street.
