Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job (Plus Spinoffs)

One man. One woman. One massive DIY project. TV personalities Alan Carr and Amanda Holden have spent the last few years working on a string of impressive interiors transformations overseas, with their most recent project taking them to the home of the Durrell’s in Corfu. But it’s best to start at the begging with Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job. Interior Design Masters

And if you want more Alan Carr, you’re in luck. Britain’s favourite chatty man also hosts Interior Design Masters, the BBC’s home-focused answer to Bake Off. The show sees 10 budding designers compete for a chance to win a high-end commercial contract, officially kick-starting their careers in the world of interiors. Along the way, they’ll have to impress judge and former Elle Decoration editor in chief, Michelle Ogundehin, as well as a string of guest judges spanning Mary Portas, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Matthew Williamson, Sophie Robinson and more.

Another Bake Off style showdown – but this time, it’s more clay than cakes. The Great Pottery Throwdown sees a group of amateur potters take to the wheel for a chance to win the coveted title of Britain’s best potter. But it’s a tough trek to the top; they’ll need to complete a series of tasks and challenges each week to impress the judges – master potter Keith Brymer Jones and award-winning ceramicist Rich Miller – and avoid being sent home. Our Welsh Chapel Dream

It’s not just pottery that rules Keith’s life. The famed ceramic designer also has a passion for general DIY – as shown in Our Welsh Chapel Dream, where he and wife Marj Hogarth tackle the mammoth task of converting a Grade II listed chapel in Wales into a forever home.
