Things To Do In London: Fashion & Beauty Pop-Ups
The Boots Beauty House Party
The biggest party in the city kicks off this weekend, with the arrival of Boots’ new pop-up in Soho. Free to enter and spanning three days, the Boots Beauty House Party is a celebration of the all-important getting ready routine – themed around a raucous house party. The space, which will showcase some of Boots’ hero lines, viral products and K-beauty favourites, will be divided across different rooms designed to around each step of a ‘going out’ beauty routine. Think a scent shower filled with fragrance displays and sweet-smelling steam (visitors can also take part in a bath tub lucky dip to win a mystery prize); a dressing room with a charm station and beauty confessional for sharing top beauty secrets; and a bedroom where visitors will be able to get their hair done by the professionals a GHD and listen in on the best tips and tricks from makeup artists at Sacheu. At the end of it all, you’ll be able to indulge in a photo op at the domed-mirror selfie wall, grab a complimentary bubble tea from the Beau-Tea Bar and pick up a goodie bag worth over £100.

Hermès New Bond Street Store Window Display
The best way to freshen up a shop window? Invite one of the most exciting artists of the moment to use it as their canvas. Hermès has done just that with its New Bond Street store, whose four large windows are now home to over 100 hand-painted artworks by Studio Lenca. The project, titled ‘A line in motion’, brings together the artist’s personal history and the designer label’s core theme for 2025: Drawn to Craft.
The installation is an exploration of storytelling through craft, with the windows offering a view into new worlds fashioned through art, design and literature – all joined together by one single line. The window display follows a journey that starts in an artist’s studio, with the master in question busily scribbling away in a sketchbook, before the line forms a kinetic sculpture shaped into a marble urn. In later windows, the sketchbook opens to let forth a burst of kites, which transform into silk scarves midair, and birds who escape its pages clutching a collection of tableware. This all culminates in a final tableau where figures emerge from the (now large scale) sketchbook, before flying away on balloons in search of a new story.
’At the centre of the work is a marble run. Its flowing motion is a metaphor for joy and the kind of momentum I want to see in the world,’ explained the artist. ‘It is playful, it is purposeful, and it invites us to imagine a more beautiful future.’
