Take A Look Inside Crockett & Jones’s SS24 Collection

What do you crave the most when warmer weather rolls around? If, like Crockett & Jones, it’s a sunny day surrounded by water, boats and seagulls, then you’re in the right place. The brand’s SS24 Waterfront collection has us dreaming of exactly that scenario – partly thanks to the accompanying campaign, which saw the Crockett & Jones team sail out to the quaint fishing harbours of Croatia.

Set amongst white stone, bobbing boats and swaying masts (as well as plenty of glorious sunshine), the new collection presents a masterclass on sophisticated spring-summer dressing. As part of the season’s first release, the brand has unveiled two new shoe styles: the Falmouth and the Bibury. It’s an exciting release, as the former is a completely new footwear category for Crockett & Jones, and the latter is a more relaxed take on the brand’s popular Chukka style.

The Falmouth

The Falmouth

Crockett & Jones took on the challenge of reinventing the summer boat shoe this SS24, with the Falmouth comprising a loafer-cum-derby hybrid design that plays into the brand’s manufacturing expertise. It currently comes in three colourways and also features a new rubber wedge sole that has been designed and made in England, blending the perfect balance of comfort, flexibility, durability and grip. Taking design inspiration from the brand’s famous Boston and Harvard styles – with additional adjustment from double-stacked leather lacing – the Falmouth is the crowning glory of the ongoing loafers trend, which continues to grow year on year as the ultimate spring-summer off-duty shoe.

Where To Wear Them: Take inspiration from Crockett & Jones and slip your Falmouth’s on for day of smooth sailing, either aboard your vessel of choice or on the nearby docks for some scenic sunshine, or branch out into unexplored waters by taking your boat shoes to the beach (although beware the possibility of getting sand in your shoes), out to town or even the office if it follows a summery dress code come June.

The Bibury

The Bibury

While renowned for its chic and sophisticated footwear, Crockett & Jones opted for a more casual design with its second SS24 design, the Bibury. Taking its cues from the classic Chukka, the new design couples a one-piece, all-round pattern with a butted seam apron, creating a stylish boot that can be worn from spring through to autumn – making it a transeasonal staple in the making for the brand. You’ll also find Crockett & Jones’s new rubber wedge sole here, as well as two rich suede colourways: snuff and earth green.

Where To Wear Them: The ultimate transitional boot, Crockett & Jones demonstrates that the Bibury looks just at home on the harbour as a boat shoe. Ideal for dressing down summer outfits, we can see this design being popular for smart casual events – either teamed up with linens and chinos or lightweight denim.
