While London is dotted with magnificent Christmas trees, glittering lights and winter terraces, there’s one city that rivals this festive charm: New York. This year, the Big Apple is looking particularly impressive thanks to Dior’s theatrical installation at luxury department store Saks’ flagship branch on Fifth Avenue. Sound exciting? A Dazzling Dior Pop-Up Has Arrived At Saks Fifth Avenue

Head to Saks Fifth Avenue, NYC – just a stone’s throw from the Rockefeller Centre – and you’ll come face-to-face with Dior’s recently unveiled ‘Carousel of Dreams’ display. Perhaps the most extravagant takeover Saks has ever seen, the display features an enormous revolving carousel which spans the entire ten storeys of the famous department store and exhibits classic Dior symbols such as glowing stars, clovers and zodiac signs.

In the daylight, the carousel is an impressive, three-dimensional sculpture; at nightfall, it dazzles. But that’s not all: Dior’s collaboration with Saks also includes a stunning soundtrack, a number of vibrant window projections, and a light show featuring a whopping 300,000 LEDs – not to mention a brand new pop-up.

This whimsical collaboration also encompasses a Dior pop-up inside Saks, with a further carousel installation on the main shop floor showcasing one-of-a-kind haute couture dresses from Dior.
On the beauty floor, meanwhile, shoppers can enjoy a Dior Parfums pop-up featuring makeup, fragrances and skincare, with holiday offers and services which are only available at Saks Fifth Avenue until 10 December. What’s more, Peter Philips – creative and image director of Dior makeup – has created four festive makeup looks exclusively for Saks.
For those who can’t make it to the store, however, there is also a digital ‘World of Dior’ pop-up on the Saks website until 5 January. This marks the first time that every category of Dior merchandise is available to shop online anywhere other than Dior’s website itself. On offer at Saks are various Dior collections including shoes, accessories and leather goods.
