Long Sleeves & Layers
It’s a little optimistic to think we’ll be getting our bare arms out straight away this spring. This season often calls for layers – think long sleeves, tights and boots – that can be tucked under or pulled over our favourite dresses. A cream turtleneck layered under a bright floral number? Sounds chic to us.

Matcha Moment
Speaking of colour – while pastels are always a popular choice come spring, one hue that we’ll always associate with the season is green. It just reminds us of fresh flowers blooming at the start of spring. The specific hue we’re obsessing over this season is matcha – which pairs wonderfully well with the aforementioned pastels – but mint, sage and aqua also fit the springtime bill.

Textured Neutrals
If you’re wedded to your neutrals, fear not – they should also belong on your spring mood board. A soft taupe, rich chocolate or light cream can feel just as seasonal, especially when you play with different textures. A silky slip dress, for example, can be teamed up with a chunky knit for maximum style and comfort.

Full Florals
An obvious one – but for good reason. Spring is arguably the best time of year to break out a floral print. Small and dainty flowers tend to be the popular choice, but for a bolder look you’ll want bright pops of colour and oversized blooms. Ideal for long-lasting wardrobe heroes, something timeless like this will no doubt see you through spring, summer and the start of autumn. (You can also colour coordinate with a matching cardigan throw over the top, when the weather takes a turn.)

Knitted Layers
Speaking of knits, you’ll definitely want to keep one to hand. You don’t always have to fully wear them though; an artful drape over the shoulders lend a slightly more preppy feel, while a loose knot around the waist will give your outfit a more relaxed look. Add a pair of ballet flats, and you’re onto a winner. Low maintanence, high results.
