Danish luxury label GANNI unveils a new collaboration with Submission Beauty. The result? Plant-based glitter.

GANNI Collaborates with Submission Beauty on Plant-Based Glitter

If you’re anything like us, leaning more on the magpie side when it comes to anything remotely shiny, the launch of GANNI’s new range of glitters is hitting all the right buttons. The brand, which takes its first steps into the world of beauty, has teamed up with cult favourite Submission Beauty on a range of colourful glitters. And the best part? They’re all plastic-free and plant-based.

Born out of a shared love of bold colour and responsible creation, the collection of plant-based glitters comes in three colourways which will be available to purchase from 19 October 2022.

Submission Beauty, a zero-plastic brand known for its plant-based beauty products, has been highlighting the harmful impact of microplastic glitter since the brand was launched by makeup artist Zenia Jaeger in 2020. Submission Beauty has a long-standing relationship with GANNI, having been part of the makeup looks for the brand’s SS22 and AW22 shows.

‘Submission’s universe is so full of expression and colour just like GANNI’s and I couldn’t be happier that our first beauty collaboration is with them,’ said Ditte Reffstrup, Creative Director at GANNI. ‘We came up with these super fun colors that are all about giving people a way to express themselves and go a little crazy. We share the same vision for our industries. Working with old friends feels amazing and I can’t wait to introduce the glitter to our community.’

‘We’re thrilled to be the first ever brand to collaborate with GANNI on a beauty launch, and even more proud that together, Submission and GANNI are empowering the growing shift towards sustainability and responsible luxury in beauty and fashion,’ added Submission Beauty founder Zenia Jaeger. ‘Our collaboration with GANNI turns wasteful, toxic traditional glitter on its head, providing a plant-based, biodegradable alternative to microplastic glitter that offers all the flash and fun of the original, with none of the harm to the human body and our ecosystem.’
