The Country & Town House Responsible Buyers’ Guide
Suzannah London
Fine Lambswool & Cashmere Cardigan, £390
Feeling the chill? You can now layer up in Suzannah London’s new knitted cardigan line. Crafted from Scottish cashmere and extra fine lambswool, the cardigans come in shades of grey, oatmeal and green and feature a soft silk satin tie at the front (which is detachable, if you fancy changing things up from one day to the next). Perfect for pulling on over a pair of jeans, or dressing up with a silky slip skirt and boots.
Reformation
Estelle Necklace, £128
It’s official: jewellery is now a permanent fixture at Reformation. Following the success of its 2024 capsule collection, the label has built out its jewellery presence – with a core product category dealing in necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets made with secondhand materials. Think recycled metals (including 24 karat gold and sterling silver), as well as archival gemstones that have been aged for up to 10 years. Designs are vintage-inspired, and are ready to be dressed up for days at work and nights out on the town.
Telmont X Shelter
Sunglasses, £255
You’ve heard of rose-tinted glasses, but how about champagne-tinted? Crafted in collaboration with Shelter Manufacture, Champagne Telmont has released a pair of limited-edition sunglasses that transform upcycled grape marc from the 2024 harvest into (incredibly chic) acetate frames. Free from plastic and featuring grey-blue lenses, they embody circular innovation and sustainability, packaged in recycled fibre cases.
Fairfax & Favor
Oakham Boots, £285
It is officially boot season. Our pick? The Oakham ankle boot in mahogany leather by B Corp certified Fairfax & Favor, featuring removable tassels and gold hardware. Sustainably handcrafted in Portugal with leather sourced from LWG-rated tanneries, and produced in ethical factories.
Olivia von Halle
Caro Dallas Beige Tracksuit, £1,495
With the change in seasons comes the urge to burrow into our cosiest clothes – but this doesn’t have to be at the expense of style. Olivia von Halle has just released the ultimate off-duty set, perfect for lounging at home (but chic enough to also fit in at the bar or boardroom). Made from a silk-cashmere blend, the ultra-soft Caro Dallas tracksuit will soon become the fashion set’s go-to for trans-seasonal dressing.
Holland Cooper
Jodie Kidd’s Westminster Tweed Look, £1,315
Great tailoring steps out beyond the wardrobe in Holland Cooper’s Icons Collection, which spotlights trailblazers who embody confidence and purpose. The cast of the brand’s Iconic Tailoring campaign includes Mary Berry, the Dame of British baking, award-winning broadcaster Clare Balding, acclaimed actor Lisa Dwan and British supermodel Jodie Kidd. They are joined by the brand’s founder and managing director Jade Holland Cooper, and together take the grounds of a stately home to show off Holland Cooper’s signature tailoring. Shot in a series of portraits, the campaign presents the brand’s commitment to heritage craft and uplifting the women who wear its clothing. Read more about the campaign here.
Duke’s Boots
Duke’s Original Mid In Tan Teddy, £375
It’s that time of year again – boots season is upon us, and you’ll find us stepping into AW25 in a pair from Duke’s. The London-based label specialises in classic cowboy boots with a British street style twist. Think your traditional smooth nappa, as well as soft suede, bold leopard print and textural shearling creations (ideal for when the weather cools down this autumn).
Smythson X Liberty London
Soho Croc-Embossed Leather Notebook with Slide, £260
To celebrate the launch of Smythson into Liberty London, the two brands unite in an exclusive limited-edition collection, reimagining signature notebooks and diaries in Liberty Purple, Nile Blue, and Coral. Lined with Liberty prints—Strawberry Thief, Poppy Forest, Sambourne—the range appears in Panama cross grain and Mara croc-embossed leathers, offered in Panama and Soho sizes for refined stationery lovers.
Rebecca Vallance
Cuban Earrings, £315
This month marks a milestone for Australian designer Rebecca Vallance, who has just launched her ever jewellery collection. The six-piece edit of statement earrings are designed to work in harmony with the brand’s ready-to-wear offering, and draw inspiration from Art Deco design and geometric oscillations. A mix of chandelier and stud styles, the collection is also a masterclass in mixed metals – with hammered gold and silver diamanté setting the base notes for each style.
Fairfax & Favor x Lydia Millen
Tan Micro Top Handle, £345
It’s easier said than done to live a life in balance – especially when you find yourself torn between country and town. But at least your wardrobe will be able to keep up. Fairfax & Favor has teamed up with Lydia Millen on a considered capsule of handbags, designed with bags (pun intended) of rural vogue. ‘This really is one of those collaborations where they have allowed me to have full rein on this collection,’ Millen told C&TH. ‘And I’ve worked so closely with the design team; we’ve considered absolutely every element, the longevity of these bags, the quality of the materials that we’re using.’

Head into autumn with a classic up-do elevated with statement earrings. We love these Giovanni Raspini drop earrings in faceted emerald green, blue, and light blue crystals, which are handmade in Tuscany.

Grove England’s Luxury Self Care Set celebrates refined British craftsmanship, featuring vegan, cruelty-free hand cream, eau de parfum, and a luxe room candle, all free from parabens, sulphates, and silicones. Made with organic essential oils and natural ingredients, with elegant white florals and warm fragrance notes; there’s no place like home.

Free Evolve Push Up Bra, £30
Comfy season is approaching, and we’re starting with the underwear. Sloggi’s new Free Evolve collection brings ultra-comfy, mix-and-match underwear and loungewear in solid and lace, plus reversible options. The range comes in two stretchy sizes to fit most bodies, and will work well seamlessly beneath your entire A/W wardrobe.
Onitsuka Tiger
MEXICO 66 TGRS, £150
Sporty ballet flats are still having a moment – and with autumn around the corner they’re becoming the ultimate transitional staple. Our pick for the season comes from Japanese label Onitsuka Tiger, and blends the comfort of trainers with the chic style of pumps. An evolution of the brand’s classic MEXICO 66 style, these playful flats come in multiple colourways (our favourite is a classic black and white) and feature adjustable straps alongside the classic Onitsuka Tiger stripes.
Laneige
Lip Sleeping Mask Strawberry Shortcake, £22
Cult favourite K-beauty brand Laneige has expanded its hero Lip Sleeping Mask line with a brand new flavour: strawberry shortcake. Built with the same skincare benefits – a hyaluronic acid moisture boost, antioxidant protection from vitamin C, and shea butter-induced skin softening – this latest iteration stands out for its brand new three-tier design, which divides the mask into layers of Vanilla Cake, Strawberry Cream and Fresh Berry. A sweet treat before bed never sounded so tempting.
Mulberry
Roxanne Shoulder Bag, £1,495
The bag on everyone’s wish list this September? Roxanne. Mulberry has relaunched the noughties staple, creating four modern iterations that include a brand new shoulder bag. (The 2004 style, meanwhile, is still available to shop via The Mulberry Exchange.) And accompanying the bag’s comeback is a fresh campaign, starring British treasure Cynthia Erivo. ‘As a born and bred Londoner I remember longing for a Mulberry – the ultimate statement bag – so this moment really feels full circle,’ the star said of the collaboration.’ You can read more about the launch here.

Smythson
Soho Notebook In Leopard Panama, £210
We’ve had leopard print fashion and leopard print interiors – but what about leopard print stationery? Smythson has answered the call with its brand new capsule, which splashes the iconic print across the British label’s hero range of notebooks, diaries and travel accessories. The design, which has been hand-drawn in Smythson’s London design studio, has been expertly digitally printed onto Panama leather. The result? Pieces you’d be proud to keep on your desk (and in your handbag).

[coat]s
Gentle Hydrating Cleanser, £15
When it comes to skincare, simple is (for the most part) best – especially for teens and young adults. ‘Up to two-thirds of Gen Z are using anti-ageing products, which is of course ridiculous! Absolutely nobody needs ten steps in their skincare routine,’ says consultant dermatologist Dr Emma Amoafo-Mensah. Instead, the emphasis should be on simple routines and gentle (yet hardworking) ingredients. Our go-to for this ethos? Skincare label [coat]s, whose non-foaming, hydrating cleanser softly lifts impurities and makeup while also protecting the skin barrier – leaving behind bright, refreshed and healthy skin that doesn’t feel tight or stripped.
RIXO
RIXO x War Child T-Shirt, £30
London label RIXO has teamed up with War Child on a series of three charity t-shirts. Titled ‘We Are One’, the collection of t-shirts – one of which was designed in collaboration with DJ Annie Mac for the Before Midnight festival – features designs inspired by anti-war posters of the 60s and 70s, rendered in illustration styles inspired by Picasso. And all profits from the t-shirts will go directly to support War Child’s work protecting, educating and advocating for children living through conflict. ‘In a world that feels divided and polarised at times, the collection set out to be an antidote to this – what brings us together: connection, unity, and our shared humanity,’ explained Orlagh McCloskey, Co-Founder and Creative Director of RIXO. ‘In living out these values, we felt compelled to do something that would make a difference.’
Dolce & Gabbana

With six shades to each palette, and ranging from matter to shimmering finishes, there’s plenty to play with – and a pick for every occasion. And with a formula rich in skin-smoothing Italian pistachio and revitalising oleic acid, this is makeup that takes care of your skin while letting it glow.

Lalage Beaumont
Initial Charm, £39
Bag charms are still having a moment. This chic mode of self-expression will likely conjure images of Jane Birkin and her iconic beat-up Birkin laden with keyrings and stickers – and the 2025 rendition of the trend keeps the momentum going. Opt for the ultimate personal touch with an initial charm, like this one from Lalage Beaumont, which features classic lettering and is crafted from gold plated hardware. Whether you opt for initials – yours or someone special’s – or spell out a slogan, the choices for customisation are unlimited.
