What Do We Know About With Love, Meghan Season 2?

Netflix is betting on the Sussexes once more

You’d be hard pressed to find a positive review of With Love, Meghan, Netflix and Archewell’s (the Sussexes’ production company) joint lifestyle venture showcasing the magnificent hosting abilities of Meghan Markle – ahem, Meghan Sussex. (That said, we did enjoy her recipes.) Centered around the actor-turned-royal’s picture-perfect farmhouse kitchen, the first series featured the American Duchess chatting with her California pals, cooking, and sharing tips and tricks on how to transform the everyday with a bit of magic.

If that sounds twee, you’d be right on the nose – but the eight-episode series fulfils its role if you’re looking for a one-off dollop of background escapism. If the media had anything to do with it, however, Netflix would have washed its hands of Meghan and Harry soon after the series launched, admitting defeat after a final punt at squeezing some profit from its $100 million investment in the royal duo. Especially after a flopped deal with Spotify led to that tech company’s head of podcasts branding the couple ‘grifters’, everyone’s eyes have been keenly trained on the movements of Meghan and Harry and their nine-figure Netflix deal. Since 2020, the deal has yielded 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan, Live to Lead (also 2022), 2023’s Heart of Invictus docuseries and 2024’s Polo docuseries – the latter three achieving middling results.

But the latest news is that the opposite has happened: Netflix and Archewell have signed a new ‘multi-year, first look deal‘, meaning the streaming giant has first refusal on any proposals Prince Harry and Meghan’s production company rustles up. It’s a looser contract than that $100 million deal, but it proves the Sussexes are here to stay. Setting sail in yet another new direction, it seems fiction is on the Archewell cards: the company is reportedly working on an adaptation of 2023’s bestselling novel Meet Me At The Lake.

So why did Netflix rebut the headlines, enter into a new contract and renew With Love, Meghan for another season? Amid critical slams and a loss of faith in the Sussexes, it seems Netflix is clinging onto an age-old adage: all PR is good PR. As Meghan made the headlines, her Netflix ratings climbed ever higher (though in total she only garnered 5.3 million views, which pales in comparison to Adolescence‘s 145 million…). And with the news of a Christmas season of With Love, Meghan, it’s clear someone enjoyed the elevated hosting concept.

Maybe the real sticking point is thus: With Love, Meghan season 2 was filmed right after season 1. Here’s exactly what to expect.

With Love, Meghan Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Just three days after With Love, Meghan debuted on Netflix (after being delayed from its original January release amid the LA wildfires), Netflix revealed the sun-kissed series was far from over: season 2 is officially happening. Why? Well, ‘there’s more joy to be shared’, Netflix says sweetly. ‘Don’t put away your flower sprinkles just yet.’

It seems With Love, Meghan season 2 will be much of the same: cooking, crafting, hosting and chatting. They say ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’, but it’s hard to know if something is broken if you film a follow-up before part one has aired. That said, the streamer couldn’t have predicted the level of vitriolic headlines its happy-go-lucky series received. Trust the process?

The As Ever Relationship

It seems Netflix has other vested interests in With Love, Meghan: the streaming platform is officially partnered with Meghan’s lifestyle brand. Remember when it was first teased with the uncanny name ‘American Riviera Orchard’? Back then, it was thought to be a lifestyle brand focussing on ‘home, garden, food and general lifestyle wares’. Now known as ‘As Ever’, it seems the brand is tied in more closely with With Love, Meghan than we anticipated.

Launched in spring 2025, Netflix describes As Ever as ‘dedicated to curating beautifully crafted essentials for the home’, suggesting the brand ‘brings Meghan’s signature design aesthetic – as seen in her series With Love, Meghan – to life’. Forget teleshopping: it’s streamshopping time.

‘As Ever will offer a bit of everything, be it for at-home chefs, budding hosts, or those simply looking to add sparks of joy to the everyday,’ Netflix says. ‘The inaugural collection showcases eight products that Meghan has personally developed over the past year, drawing on her years of home cooking and entertaining (which included her previous lifestyle blog, The Tig). Each piece is thoughtfully and intentionally chosen, and As Ever will introduce new items seasonally.’

The first collection was made up of the following eight products, which are all currently sold out:

  • Raspberry Spread in Specialty Canister
  • Herbal Lemon Ginger Tea
  • Herbal Peppermint Tea
  • Herbal Hibiscus Tea
  • Flower Sprinkles
  • Crêpe Mix
  • Shortbread Cookie Mix with Flower Sprinkles
  • Limited-Edition Wildflower Honey with Honeycomb

Earlier this summer, 2023 Napa Valley Rosé was added to the collection – and it sold out in under an hour. Fear not: a new vintage is now available, and we’re hoping the rest of the collection will be restocked ahead of season 2. Shop at asever.com
