From Britain's very first Six Senses hotel to a transformed landmark
Holidaying in London is a bucket list experience for millions of people across the globe, and around 30 million tourists successfully tick it off the list every year – including Brits and even Londoners themselves. (Holidaying in your own city? Très chic). And if you are looking to rest your head somewhere brand spanking new, London is one of the best cities for it, with luxurious new openings popping up every year.
Most recently, we’ve had everything from the uber-luxurious Chancery Rosewood housed in the former US Embassy in Mayfair to the sophisticated and intimate 13-room Fulham Pier Hotel set within one of London’s most ambitious riverside developments in recent memory. Come 2026, six fresh new properties will welcome their very first guests, including three world-renowned brands making their British debut.
Here are all of the shiny new hotels opening in London in 2026.

Six Senses London, Bayswater
The landmark Whiteley development is making waves in Bayswater, transforming the historic Art Deco department store into an opulent new destination complete with 14 breathtaking apartments (including a ÂŁ39.5 million penthouse), an Everyman Cinema, live fire restaurant Nela and, at long last, the UK’s very first Six Senses hotel. Renowned for its sprawling wellness resorts, Six Senses London joins new city openings in Milan and Dubai to become one of the brand’s very first iterations in an urban environment. And after a few delays Six Senses London will finally open to guests in April 2026, boasting 109 exquisitely designed bedrooms and suites, an exclusive members’ club, and a spa inspired by London’s iconic underground stations. We’re told to expect a whopping 3,500 metres of fitness space, a 20-metre swimming pool, a Biohacking Recovery Lounge, two double treatment rooms, six single treatment rooms, one sensory suite, an Alchemy Bar and a relaxation room with vaulted ceilings. Admiralty Arch
Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch, Westminster
Is this London’s most iconic new address? One of the city’s most famous landmarks is being transformed into Britain’s first Waldorf Astoria: Admiralty Arch, commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and standing proudly at the end of The Mall, exactly opposite Buckingham Palace. At its rear, find Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery and the gateway to Soho. The sprawling presidential suite will enjoy both of these aspects, while 99 more rooms will blend stylish interiors with the building’s storied past. Set to open in spring 2026, there will also be two restaurants to enjoy, with Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud revealed as the official chef partners. hilton.com

The Brook Street site, set to be transformed into Britain’s very first Oberoi hotel.
The Oberoi Mayfair
Speaking of big brands and British debuts, known for its glamorous sun-soaked resorts, Indian luxury hospitality group Oberoi is moving into cloudier climes. Restoring a handsome listed 33,000 sqft corner plot on 40–46 Brook Street, construction has been underway on The Oberoi Mayfair – the brand’s very first UK property – since November 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. Part of what is currently the West End’s largest mixed-use development, alongside the hotel we can expect office space, housing, cafes, shops, restaurants and community and leisure spaces. oberoihotels.com

The Newman, Fitzrovia
Originally slated to open this summer, Kinsfolk & Co’s very first hotel will open its doors in early 2026. Housing 81 guest rooms and suites, The Newman sits on the boundary between bookish Bloomsbury and stylish Soho, also boasting a European brasserie, a lower ground cocktail bar, and a dedicated wellness floor. But it’s the rooftop four-bed suite that’s on our bucket list, home to an al fresco terrace and its very own sauna. thenewman.com
The Shepherd Mayfair
Back in Mayfair, the historic Shepherd Market is set to welcome a new boutique hotel at the start of 2026, situated on the footprint of one of very first residential addresses in the area. Set across six floors amounting to 33,600 sqft, we’re told to expect 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a British brasserie all-day restaurant, an artisan coffee lounge, and a late night cocktail bar accessed via a secret staircase. theshepherdmayfair.com

Club Flat
The Other House, Covent Garden
Following the success of The Other House’s South Kensington launch in 2022, a new home-from-home will land in the West End in early 2026. Blending hotel hospitality and luxury with apartment-style flexibility, The Other House Covent Garden will transform seven historic buildings into 146 bedrooms and Club Flats (all featuring fully-equipped kitchenettes), an all-day cafe, a restaurant, a destination cocktail bar, a rooftop bar, and a new private club called the Owl & Monkey. And this is far from the last time you’ll hear of the brand: it’s also planning a new opening in Belgravia. otherhouse.com
