Charlotte Metcalf is a writer, magazine editor, journalist and podcaster, having been an award-winning documentary film maker for many years, producing, directing and shooting hard-hitting films for the BBC, Channel Four, the United Nations, CNN and more. She switched to print 20 years ago, following the publication of her book 'Walking Away', about her time making films in Africa. She was Travel Editor at The Spectator and went on to write for numerous publications, from The Times and The Daily Mail to Tatler, on a wide range of subjects. Today she is as Associate Editor at Country and Town House and Editor of Great British Brands, while continuing to contribute articles to many other magazines. Her weekly podcast with Ed Vaizey, 'Break Out Culture' (also for Country and Town House) ran for three and a half years and now she is a regular presenter on Radio Oldie. She also edits eight supplementary magazines annually for The Oldie. Charlotte was educated at Cambridge University where she read English Literature
