Enjoy limited-edition cocktails created with Whitley Neill Gin, such as the Magical Potion: gin with coconut rum, melon liqueur and lime juice, and Brew of Ecstasy, made with rhubarb and ginger gin, ginger wine, chilli and agave. Pair with the Medusa’s Spell dessert, made with white chocolate, grenadine vermicelli, hazelnut cream, pumpkin spiced foam and raspberry sauce. The Halloween extravaganza at members’ club Home House will channel the eccentric spirit of its former owner, the Countess of Home, who was nicknamed ‘the Queen of Hell’ back in the 1800s as a result of her ‘irascible behaviour and lavish parties’. Spreading across the whole club, the party will involve live music, DJs, tarot readers, dancers and a cabaret show, alongside a special Halloween-themed menu and an array of gin cocktails (the Countess’ tipple of choice).

Saw: The Experience

This is one for the people who actually want to be scared on Halloween. An immersive experience inspired by the horror movie, SAW, is launching this October, where players will endure puzzles, tests and escape rooms – complete with pre-recorded footage from Tobin Bell, who played serial killer Jigsaw in the films. It promises to be pretty terrifying – but there’s light at the end: those who survive (which, we hope, is everyone) will finish the experience with a congratulatory cocktail in a bar called The Traproom.

Soho hotspot 100 Wardour Street is getting into the Halloween spirit with a pop-up. Running in partnership with tequila and mezcal brand Casamigos Tequila, Casa Wardour Electrica will bring the spirit of Mexico to London, with vibrant decor such as neon carved pumpkins, hanging skulls and Day of the Dead-inspired wreaths. On 28 and 29 October there will be two pre-Halloween parties, with music from resident DJs, and on 30 October guests can attend a Mexican-inspired brunch – with the option to go bottomless if you dare.
