Estiatorio Milos, St James’
Opened in 2015 in the heart of St James’, Estiatorio Milos brings a slice of sun-dappled Greece to London shores. The brainchild of chef-owner Costas Spiliadis, it’s all about timeless, fresh Mediterranean fare, with fish and seafood at the centre. Before ordering, a ‘captain’ guides diners through the fish market – which includes a raw seafood bar. Begin with seasonal oysters and Greek ceviche ahead of showstopping mains: an abundance of different types of whole fish are on offer which you can have grilled or salt baked, alongside dishes like lobster pasta and extra large Scottish langoustines. Popping in for lunch? Make use of the weekday menu which offers three courses for just £29, with dishes including Greek salad, Faroe Islands salmon and grilled Mediterranean sea bream. Whatever day you visit, expect a buzzing atmosphere filled with a mix of couples, groups of friends and families, plus charming waiters who go above and beyond to make your experience special.
