Our Favourite Barbie Releases & Collaborations So Far

This Barbie girl is EVERYWHERE
Now, we know what you’re thinking: just HOW BIG is the marketing budget for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. Massive, it seems. The film has some of the best marketing we’ve seen since Illumination kicked off the Minions craze – and (as Twitter user @girlpowertbh very honestly put) we are but pink cogs in the capitalist machine; we see Barbie, we want Barbie. If, like us, you can’t get enough of the Barbie teams clever products releases and collaborations, you’re in the right place. We’ve rounded up some our favourites, from hot pink heels and dog coats to the Airbnb Barbie DreamHouse, for you to flip through below.

Our Favourite Barbie Releases & Collaborations So Far
The Barbie Soundtrack
Now, this is quite a broad collab, so bear with us here. The official soundtrack for Barbie features just about everyone from the music industry – from rapper Nikki Minaj and American rock band HAIM to British pop royalty Dua Lipa and K-pop girl group FIFTY FIFTY – and was executively produced by Mark Ronson. It’s guaranteed to be packed with bangers, so make sure to get your pre-orders in for the vinyl, cassette and CD (if you haven’t already).
PĂśR Beauty’s Barbie Range
Another limited edition beauty collection for your radar, this one from PĂśR comes in the form of glosses, lipsticks, highlighters, palettes and primers. You’ll find many of these stamped with the Barbie logo and monogram, in a range of blush pinks, cherry red and soft champagnes.
Impala’s Iconic Yellow Roller Skates
Still thinking about those leaked on-set photos of Barbie and Ken whizzing up and down Venice Beach in roller skates (and 80s workout gear in tow)? Same here. Lucky for us, Australian skate brand Impala has stepped (read: rolled) in to make our dreams a reality. The brand teamed up with Barbie last month to bring to life Margot and Ryan’s yellow rollerskates – as well as a line of matching socks and accessories.
Xbox’s Barbie Console & Controllers
This one’s for the gamers. Barbie’s next move hits the gaming community, with a custom-designed Xbox Series S console modelled on the DreamHouse. There’s even a set of matching Xbox Wireless Controller faceplates designed after Barbie and Ken’s on-screen outfits (take a look to see if you can spot the matching costumes from the teasers). This collab unfortunately isn’t for sale, but fans can have a go at winning the one-off designs. See below for details:
Canada Pooch’s Dog Clothing Collection
Now before you judge us, just look at how cute all these dogs look in their pink Barbie coats and hats! The Canada Pooch x Barbie collection will leave your four-legged companion looking (and hopefully feeling) fabulous, whether they prefer taking their walks in bandanas, bucket hats, tees, coats or vests. There’s even a matching bum bag for owners, matching the pastel pink lead you can snap up for your next adventure.
NYX’s Barbie Makeup Collection
This Barbie is a beauty addict – and we can see why. NYX’s Barbie collection is quite something, spanning lip gloss, lashes, palettes and even a flip phone mirror. (It’s giving Y2K, to be honest.) If all of this sounds good to you, you can pick up the entire collection in a giant pink box. This another US-only release (really sorry again, Brits), but we’re hoping it makes it across the pond sometime soon.
Airbnb’s Malibu DreamHouse
Airbnb is always up for a good themed getaway – whether it’s dressing up the palace from The Empress or recreating the Hocus Pocus cottage – so it’s no surprise that Barbie would have a chapter with the homestays platform. The Barbie DreamHouse popped up in Malibu (yes, we love the reference) just a month before the film’s release, with a Ken-themed takeover: think disco balls, cowboy boots and a Barbie-saloon style bedroom.
Glasshouse Fragrances’ Barbie DreamHouse Candle
Ever wondered what Barbie’s DreamHouse smells like? Well, now you can find out. Glasshouse Fragrances have created a Barbie-inspired candle, complete with Barbie doll decorated tin. The soy wax candle has a sweet and fruity fragrance, with notes of raspberry strawberry, black current and brown sugar. It sounds tooth-achingly sweet, but that’s to be expected from the world’s favourite doll. At the moment it’s only available in the US and Australia (sorry, Brits), but we’ve heard it’s well worth grabbing one if you can.
Glossybox’s Barbie Cleansing Foam
While technically an older release, Glossybox’s Barbie-themed cleanser still has us reaching for our wallets. Dressed up in pretty pink packaging, it’s cute little novelty item that you can fit into your skincare routine (and then keep the bottles for posterity once you’re done).
ALDO’s Hot Pink Capsule Collection
Fancy stepping into Barbie’s (hot pink) shoes? Thanks to ALDO, now you can. The luxury footwear label recently released a line of shoes and accessories created in collaboration with Mattel, decked out in rhinestones, charms, Barbie logos and B monogramming. All pink, of course. A Barbie girl’s dream come true.
Mattel’s Pink Corvette Convertible
Mattel is on a mission to transform all of the real-life dolls and accessories from the Barbie movie back into toys (very Inception, we know) – but we’re honestly a little obsessed with this doll-sized pink corvette convertible. It’s modelled after the one we see Barbie and Ken driving out of Barbie Land, and it’s admittedly very cool.
Kitsch’s Barbie Collector’s Bundle
Alongside her many careers, fabulous wardrobe and dreamy home set-up, Barbie is known for her gorgeous tresses. You can get your hair in similar shape with Kitsch’s line of Barbie-themed accessories, which span satin pillowcases, scrunchies, hair ties, clips and even a heatless curling set.
Kipling’s Barbie Bags
Kipling is giving some of its signature styles a hot pink makeover this summer, courtesy of Barbie. Made up of eight bags – from totes and backpacks to clutches and crossbodies – as well as two new bag accessories, the collection comes in an bright shade of pink (of course) with a shiny glaze and Barbie logos detailing. The collection drops on 13 July 2023, just a week before the film drops in cinemas.
Fossil’s Barbie Watches & Accessories
Pink and sparkles come in spades with Fossil’s new collection in partnership with Barbie. Spanning watches, rings, necklaces, bags and keyrings (we’re a big fan of the hot pink convertible keyring), the limited edition collection is designed to bring some fun to your wardrobe this summer.
Karen Mabon’s Barbie Summer Collection
You can live out your Barbie girl dreams this summer thanks to Karen Mabon, which recently launched a limited edition fashion capsule in collaboration with Barbie. Made up of bucket hats, slip dresses, robes and pyjama sets, the collection features exclusive prints depicting stylish vintage-style Barbie dolls (also wearing their best summer attire) and comes in a spectrum of pinks and baby blues.
Crocs’ Barbie Shoes & Jibbitz
Chilling mode or sports mode? We’ll take our Crocs in Barbie mode. The footwear label is set to release a limited edition collab with the iconic mode, with many of its signature platforms, clogs and sandals getting a pink makeover this summer. A highlight from the collection is the Mega Crush Clog, which features an electric pink platform (measuring nearly three inches) with lots of glitter thrown in for good measure. The collab will also deliver a new set of jibbitz, so you can customise your crocs to your heart’s content. The collection launches on 24 July 2023.
Tangle Teezer’s Barbie Brush
The ultimate hair detangler is getting a Barbie-approved makeover this summer, with the Barbie x Tangle Teezer collection. The totally pink Barbie brush comes in two sizes (one for home, one for your handbag?) and comes in the iconic shade of hot pink we associate with the world’s favourite doll. ‘Barbie has been breaking boundaries for generations,’ says Shaun P, founder and inventor of Tangle Teezer. ‘With empowerment at our heart, Tangle Teezer is proud to help bring confidence to people across all hair types and personal styles.’
