How & Where To Wear White In Summer

Wimbledon

Have plans to watch a match or two at Wimbledon this year? The tennis championships are the perfect time to crack out your summer whites, whether you opt for a stylish trouser and shirt combo or a sophisticated white dress (like Kate Middleton, our tenniscore champion).

Beach Days

Summer is packed with beach days. White is the standard dress here – whether you plan to wade through the water in a swimsuit (or, if unplanned, a floaty dress bunched up around your waist) or sit safely on the sand in loose linen trousers and a trusty t-shirt.

City Breaks

Beach not your thing? Wearing white is still stylish in the city – just throw on a pair of tapered trousers, a white top and a knit jumper or cardigan (to protect your shoulders from the sun) and you’re golden. Finish off the look with a pair of ballet flats so that you can explore the city to your heart’s content, without the risk of blisters.

Picnics

From the city to the park, a cute white dress and ballet flats or jeans and a tee are perfect attire for a picnic with friends – just make sure not to spill anything down your front…

At The Office

In between adventures and family holidays, you’ll likely find yourself back at work – but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring summer into the office with you. Give your work wardrobe a seasonal switch by opting for white trousers, shirts and blazers that you can simultaneously layer up for the office air con and dress down for post-work drinks.
